Garden of the Nine Muses is a two-day solo exhibition by Brooklyn artist Afrocentric Keyy, reimagining the nine Greek Muses through a Black diasporic lens. Painted in oil on reclaimed wood, each work transforms a Muse into a living embodiment of memory, lineage, and divine femininity. The wood's natural grain echoes the strands of human DNA, turning every painting into an act of ancestral remembrance. The exhibition asks one powerful question: What if the Muses had always looked like us?
