This year, Haitian Flag Day marks 223 years of pride, resilience, and unity - celebrated every May 18th in honor of the Haitian flag's creation during the Revolution of 1803, a symbol of the first Black republic in the world.
The Neighborhood is partnering with VIP Zone - a Haitian restaurant in Crown Heights serving authentic Haitian recipes - to bring you Pate Kode Night in Crown Heights, a Fritay Night celebration honoring Haitian Flag Day the right way: with great food and great people.
