The People's Archive Teach-In Series - Haiti Freed Us All
Tuesday, February 17th · 6:30pm – 8pm
About this event
Through conversations with historians, artists, and archivists, Tasha Dougé, Jessica Marie Johnson, and Dread Scott, we trace how Haiti's example has fueled resistance from the Civil Rights Movement to contemporary struggles for reparations and decolonization across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Americas. We explore how fragments of this revolutionary memory—hidden in oral traditions, art, and community knowledge—continue to teach us strategies for liberation.
